A Mylor couple who were instrumental in restoring the village's Tremayne Hall have been honoured by its committee. Christopher and Sarita Perkins were presented with paintings to mark five years work to create the new community centre.
Val Jeans-Jakobsson, chairman of the hall's committee, said "Their generosity and commitment to the project over a period of five years helped to make it possible for the beautiful new community centre to be created.
"Many other geneorous people were involved and several large grants helped, but the driving force behind the work was undoubtedly that of Christopher Perkins. "He and Sarita were keen for us to appreciate that their parents were keen supporters of village projects abd the wooden plaque that commemorates the Perkins family was intended to acknowledge them as well."
Artists Peter Clark and Jan Robson were commissioned to do the paintings as gifts for the couple. Peter has depicted a favourite horse and foal owned by Sarita and Jan's picture is of Chrisopher's yacht.
