Free refreshments at advice session on digital TV services
For people concerned about the imminent switch-over to digital TV, the Tremayne Hall Community and Archive Centre is holding a couple of information coffee mornings. The free drop-in sessions will include a presentation and demonstrations aimed at making the chang-over process easy to understand.
The first of these coffee mornings will be on Saturday between 10 am and noon. Entrance and all refreshments are free.
"Everyone in the community is welcome, but the presentation is particularly aimed at more elderly residents, most of whom qualify for assistance from the Changeover Help Scheme, about which full details will be given," said Michael Jeans-Jakobsson, Tremayne Hall's website manager.
"A follow-up coffee morning is planned for the end of July when the actual change-over starts to take place in our area."
The coffee mornings are being sponsored by Age Concern (Cornwall) and Digital Outreach. Further information is available from the hall's website, at www.tremaynehall.org or by calling 01326 374767 or by emailing info@tremaynehall.org.
