Mylor Lunch Club members enjoyed a slight change when they met for a tea party. The club's eight teams combined to provide a free event for their regular customers and guests. About 120 people sat down to a cream tea and a wonderful assortment of cakes in the Tremayne Hall. Foil palms and piano music by David James helped create a lovely atmosphere. The lunch club, for the over-60s starts again on September 1 and new members will be made welcome at noon each Tuesday. A choice of home-made soups and desserts can be enjoyed for £2.50.
