Business grows at Tremayne Hall
Since the Tremayne Hall community centre in Mylor Bridge was opened by Lady Mary Holborow on October 6, bookings have come in steadily and there is now growing interest in the beautifully restored hallwith its extra rooms.
The first fund-raising event is an antiques valuation and an auction of promises on November 9 at 7pm. Admission is £3. Tbe hall management committee is pleased to welcome back the popular auctioneer and antiques expert Roger Tappin from Bonhams, who always provides an entertaining evening. He came to help with a similar event two years ago, so no doubt he will notice a few changes!
Athough the committee has been lucky enough to receive large sums of money through donations and grants, there are still more areas needing cash.
"Those who have seen the centre will, I'm sure, be impressed by the quality of the work and by the attention to detail," said committee member Val Jeans-Jakobsson.
"We intend to maintain this standard and will continue to raise money through a programme of events, amd tje valuable income produced by our own lottery which provides money for maintenance."
For those who have not yet seen the centre and would like a conducted tour, this can be arranged by ringing 01326 374767.
