The wet weather failed to dampen the enthusiasm of those who turned out for a sponsored fun run and walk in Mylor Bridge at the weekend in aid of the Tremayne Hall restoration fund.

Young and old alike gathered on Mylor playing fields early on Sunday morning for the start of the event. Despite the low turnout those who did take part managed to raise £560 from sponsorship money.

"We hope to double that next year," said organiser Val Jeans-Jakobsson.
