Mylor Movies - Brighton Rock (15) Directed by Rowan Joffe and starring Helen Mirren, Andrea Riseborough, John Hurt and Sam Riley. A remake of Graham Greene's classic thriller updated from 40s to 60s Brighton. A very enjoyable evening for a good sized audience. |

Mylor Movies - Water for Elephants (12A) Directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Reese Witherspoon, Robert Pattinson and Christoph Waltz. Jacob defies his parents by running away to the circus. With superb 1930's detail, this is an old fashioned family film which is an emotional, inspiring and romantic epic. A well received entertainment for a moderately good sized audience. |

Mylor Movies - Mao's Last Dancer (PG) directed by Bruce Beresford and starring Chi Cao, Bruce Greenwood & Kyle MacLachlan. A drama based on the autobiography by Li Cunxin. At the age of 11, Li was plucked from a poor Chinese village by Madame Mao's cultural delegates and taken to Beijing to study ballet. In 1979, during a cultural exchange to Texas, he fell in love with an American woman. Two years later, he managed to defect and went on to perform as a principal dancer for the Houston Ballet. A lovely and engaging film much enjoyed by a good sized audience. |

Mylor Movies - RED (12A) directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Bruce Willis, Mary-Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren and Karl Urban. An encouragingly large and enthusiastic audience enjoyed this action packed action/comedy which had improbable and spoof-like scenarios which were highly entertaining. Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren gave particularly good performances. N.B. The King's Speech has been postponed until 30 March. |
