Mylor Movies - Doubt (15) with Meryl Streep, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amy Adams, Viola Davis. Directed by John Patrick Shanley (and based on his own stage play). A tough, wonderfully acted story of tensions in the Church following the Vatican Two reforms. A very rewarding drama. All the above stars were nominated for Oscars. |

Mylor Movies - Brideshead Revisited (12A) with Matthew Goode, Ben Whishaw, Hayley Atwell. Director Julian Jarrold. A really beautifully atmospheric and moving film enjoyed by a good audience of nearly 50. Based on Evelyn Waugh's 1945 classic British novel, Brideshead Revisited is a poignant story of forbidden love and the loss of innocence set in England prior to the Second World War. |

A beautifully presentation with excellent pictures and some wonderful movie clips illustrated the fascinating story of a very successful railway that is now sadly overgrown and obliterated, apart from the short stretch that forms the Lappa Valley railway. |
